The wait is finally over for fans of Yash. The makers of Toxic have officially announced that the film’s trailer will be unveiled on March 8 in Bengaluru, setting the stage for one of the most eagerly anticipated cinematic reveals of the year.
Headlined by Yash, Toxic marks the actor’s first major release after the blockbuster success of the KGF franchise. Notably, the project has stayed away from overexposure, choosing instead to keep updates minimal, making every announcement count.
Directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Geetu Mohandas, Toxic is expected to showcase Yash in a completely new and intense avatar. While the makers have remained tight-lipped about the storyline, the film is being described as a stylish, action-packed drama mounted on a grand scale.
Posters and early glimpses released so far point towards a gritty narrative with international appeal. Trade circles are closely watching the project, especially given Yash’s pan-India following and the ambitious scale at which the film is being mounted.
Adding to the buzz, the recently unveiled teaser has already amplified intrigue, clocking over 200 million views within 24 hours. Written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas, and directed by Mohandas, Toxic has been simultaneously shot in Kannada and English. Dubbed versions are planned in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and several other languages. The film is produced by Venkat K Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, and is slated for a theatrical release on March 19.
