‘Wonder Man’ has officially launched the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s television slate in India for 2026. All eight episodes of the limited series began streaming today, January 28, 2026, on OTT. Unlike typical Marvel shows, Wonder Man steps away from large-scale threats and instead offers a grounded, humorous look at the entertainment industry.
Plot that keeps things personal
The series centres on Simon Williams, also known as Wonder Man. He is an actor and stunt performer chasing his big break, with life repeatedly testing his patience. Opportunity arrives when he auditions for a remake of a film titled Wonder Man. From casting rooms to callbacks, the story follows Simon’s struggles with competition, rejection and industry pressure. Instead of saving the world, he fights for relevance, dignity and survival in a ruthless system. The tone stays light yet reflective, leaning more toward character-driven comedy than spectacle.
Cast bringing the story alive
Yahya Abdul-Mateen II leads the show as Simon Williams. His parents are played by Shola Adewusi as Martha Williams and Bechir Sylvain as Sanford Williams, while Demetrius Grosse appears as Simon’s brother, Eric.The series also features Arian Moayed as P. Cleary, with Ben Kingsley reprising his MCU role as Trevor Slattery. Supporting roles are played by X Mayo, Zlatko Burić, Olivia Thirlby, Byron Bowers, Ed Harris, Juliette Ortega, Dane Larsen and others.

All episodes of ‘Wonder Man’ are available to stream exclusively on JioHotstar. Marvel opted for a full-season drop instead of weekly releases. Each episode runs between 30 and 40 minutes, making it an easy binge. The show was developed by Destin Daniel Cretton.
