The much-awaited film Peddi, starring Ram Charan, is set to release in cinemas on April 30, 2026. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, this rural action drama has been riding high on expectations. While the second single Rai Rai Raa Raa continues to receive a thumping response from audiences, a rumour regarding the film’s runtime recently surfaced online.
According to the buzz, the initial footage reportedly runs close to four hours and is being trimmed to around three hours. The speculation quickly went viral, prompting the team to issue a clarification.
The makers urged fans not to believe such rumours, stating that only the first half of Peddi has been locked so far, with the background score by A.R. Rahman also nearing completion. The second half is currently in its final shooting stage, while editing is progressing simultaneously at a brisk pace. The team assured that everything is on track for the grand April 30, 2026 release.
With less than two months remaining, the team is working diligently to complete the remaining portions and deliver a high-quality cinematic experience.
Peddi also stars Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu Sharma, Boman Irani, Satya, and others in key roles. The film is produced by Vridhhi Cinemas and presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings. Music is composed by A.R. Rahman, while cinematography is handled by Ratnavelu.
