Some time ago, Trivikram Srinivas announced a mythological film based on Lord Kumara Swamy, tentatively titled God of War. Icon Star Allu Arjun was initially roped in as the protagonist, but due to undisclosed reasons, the project later landed in the hands of Jr. NTR. Recently, reports surfaced that the project had once again returned to Allu Arjun.
Adding to the confusion in Tollywood, filmmaker Kishore Tirumala announced a film on Kumara Swamy titled Gowri Tanaya. While multiple projects are being made on the same subject in Tollywood, a Kollywood film based on the same deity has now been announced. Noted Tamil actor Jiiva has publicly revealed that he has been working on a film highlighting the legacy of Lord Murugan.
Jiiva said, “I have always dreamt of making a film based on the stories, pride, and legacy of Lord Murugan, our Tamil God. The work has already begun, and very soon you will hear an official announcement. I strongly believe this film will mark a historic moment in Tamil cinema.”
