Director Maruthi’s high-budget film The Raja Saab failed to entertain audiences and ended up as a below-par experience for Prabhas fans. Although Maruthi had earlier announced RajaSaab 2: Circus 1935, there is still no clarity on when the sequel will go on floors.
In the meantime, rumours started doing the rounds that the director’s next project would be with Varun Tej and that preparations were already underway.
As the buzz grew, Maruthi’s team stepped in and clarified that all the reports circulating about the project are baseless. They also stated that any official update regarding his next film will be announced directly by the director.
Despite the mixed response, The Raja Saab managed to cross Rs. 300 crore gross worldwide. The film features Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar as the female leads and was produced by People Media Factory.
