The upcoming series, which will stream on Netflix, also stars Vikrant Massey and Vedika Pinto, and promises an intimate, emotionally driven narrative. For Mahima, the project marks a deeply personal milestone, arriving at a time when she was consciously reassessing her choices after spending over a decade working across television, films, and digital platforms. Having established herself as a versatile performer across formats, the actress reveals that Musafir Cafe offered her something far more profound than just another role. Reflecting on the emotional resonance of the project, Mahima shares that the experience left her feeling creatively fulfilled in ways she hadn’t anticipated. She says, “I genuinely felt a sense of completeness as an actor after shooting for Musafir Cafe. It gave me something I didn’t even realise I was looking for, and that feeling has stayed with me.” She adds, “I have always wanted to explore something meaningful in the OTT space, and this couldn’t have come at a better time. On top of that, it’s a love story, something I had been yearning to do for the longest time. It felt like several dreams coming true at once. The entire experience was creatively and emotionally fulfilling, and it’s something I find ineffable to put into words.”

Mahima also speaks fondly about her collaboration with Vikrant Massey, highlighting how working alongside an actor of his calibre elevated her own performance. He is an incredibly fine actor and brings a deep sense of sincerity to every scene. Being around that kind of honesty naturally pushes you to do better, and I learnt a lot simply by sharing screen space with him. Beyond that, he is a wonderful human being, which truly sets him apart.”
