Anurag Kashyap’s ‘Kennedy’ is finally set to reach a wider audience. The neo-noir thriller, which skipped a traditional theatrical release, is now gearing up for its much-awaited OTT premiere. After making waves at major film festivals in 2023, the film will soon stream digitally—nearly three years after its first public screening.

‘Kennedy’ is all set for a direct-to-OTT release on ZEE5 on February 20, 2026. The film first premiered at the Cannes Film Festival on May 24, 2023, and later screened at the Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival on October 29, 2023. After touring several international festivals, the thriller has now found its permanent home on OTT.
What the story is about
The film follows Uday Shetty, an ex-cop believed to have been dead for years, who now lives under the alias Kennedy. An insomniac hitman, he works for a corrupt police system while quietly searching for redemption. Set in a violent, morally broken Mumbai, the story unfolds in a world where power protects the guilty and justice feels perpetually suspended.Haunted by the ghosts of his victims, Kennedy grapples with guilt and inner darkness. His journey unfolds over five tense nights, during which his fractured mind begins to crack further. The narrative deepens when he crosses paths with Charlie, a glamorous and mysterious woman who draws him deeper into a dangerous web of deception. At the same time, Kennedy is hunting for a man named Salim, closely tied to his unresolved past.
