Tamil actor Karthi’s new movie Vaa Vaathiyaar has headed to OTT just 14 days after its release. Amazon Prime Video has started streaming this Pongal release in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi, and Malayalam from today.
It is unusual to see a noted Tamil star’s film arriving on a digital platform within such a short period. Directed by Nalan Kumarasamy, the movie did not perform as expected at the box office and is now set to test its fate on OTT. The multilingual release is expected to help the film reach a wider audience.
Krithi Shetty plays the female lead, while Sathyaraj, Rajkiran, Anandaraj, Shilpa Manjunath, Karunakaran, G. M. Sundar, Ramesh Thilak, and P. L. Thenappan appear in supporting roles. The film is produced under the Studio Green banner, with music composed by Santhosh Narayanan.
