Karan Aujla paid Mumbai auto drivers’ fines during his P-Pop Culture Tour, going viral. His India tour covers 11 cities, including Delhi and Mumbai.

Punjabi music star Karan Aujla had an unexpectedly heartwarming moment on the streets of Mumbai and the internet can’t stop talking about it. Currently in the city for the India leg of his P-Pop Culture Tour, the singer found himself in an unplanned situation during a casual auto-rickshaw ride. What followed turned into a viral moment that has added a new chapter to his tour memories.

A video shared by British-Sikh filmmaker Sanvir Singh on Instagram shows Aujla’s auto being stopped by Mumbai Police. When he learnt that the driver had pending fines amounting to ₹17,000, the singer immediately stepped in. He asked his team to clear the entire amount on the spot.

Soon after, another auto driver approached him with a similar request. Without hesitation, Aujla agreed to contribute ₹5,000 towards the second driver’s dues. As he addressed those around him, he was heard saying, “These guys going to love me, we are paying everybody’s fine here.”

The gesture left the second driver emotional, and he hugged the singer in gratitude. In a lighter moment, Aujla also told the driver to be careful in the future, joking that there may not always be someone around to settle his penalties.

As word spread, fans gathered around the singer to click pictures, turning the roadside incident into a mini fan meet. Reacting to the attention and affection, Aujla quipped, “Suddenly, I’m the city’s favourite… Yo! That’s sick,” capturing the mood of the moment.

Aujla began his P-Pop Culture India Tour on February 28 with a high-energy performance at Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium. He is scheduled to perform in Mumbai and Pune on March 3 as part of special Holi Edition concerts.

The tour will then move to Ahmedabad on March 7, followed by Chandigarh (March 14), Indore (March 21), and Bengaluru (March 29). In April, he is set to perform in Kolkata (April 3), Jaipur (April 5), Lucknow (April 10), and Ludhiana (April 12).
