Three years ago, a film starring Allu Arjun and to be directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga was announced. T-Series’ Bhushan Kumar was set to bankroll the project. However, both the actor and the director later got busy with their respective projects and other commitments. As they went on to announce new line-ups, many believed that the film had been shelved.
The project is now back in the headlines after Bhushan Kumar recently unveiled T-Series’ upcoming slate, in which the Allu Arjun–Sandeep Reddy Vanga film was also listed. With the producer himself reaffirming the project, it is now confirmed that the film is very much on and not shelved.
At present, Sandeep Reddy Vanga is busy with Spirit, starring Prabhas in the lead. He has also announced Animal Park and Animal Kingdom, and another project tentatively titled Devil is planned with Mahesh Babu.
Meanwhile, Allu Arjun has announced a new film with Lokesh Kanagaraj, while his project with Atlee is currently under production. He also has Pushpa 3: The Rampage with Sukumar, and there are chances of him collaborating again with Trivikram.
So, even though the Allu Arjun–Sandeep Reddy Vanga project stands confirmed, it may take considerable time to go on floors. For now, it remains a project waiting for the right moment to take off.
