Once upon a time, they used to be the best of friends. BFFs in Hollywood? — Their names used to top the list. But then came 2020, and a sneaky social media started to question the equation of once-BFFs. Are they feuding? Is the friendship over already? That’s the question that has been swirling around the relationship between Kim Kardashian and Larsa Pippen: Are they still feuding, or has all that drama faded out? Finally, Kim has come up with an answer for this question, thanks to her appearance on her sister, Khloé Kardashian’s podcast, ‘Khloé In Wonder Land’. Here’s what she had to say.
Kim Kardashian clears the air about friendship with Larsa Pippen
On the ‘Khloé In Wonder Land’ podcast, the SKIMS founder revisited her friendship with Larsa Pippen more than five years after her friendship with the ‘Real Housewives of Miami’ star seemingly fell apart.Kim said, “I love Larsa. I love her kids.” She went on to explain that both of them were dealing with messy breakups around the same time. Larsa and Scottie Pippen finally wrapped up their divorce in early 2022, and Kim and Kanye ended things about ten months later. Larsa also moved to Miami, which didn’t exactly help them stay close.Notably, Kim made it clear there’s no animosity. “She moved to Miami, but I love her. Our kids go to school together. We’ll always have so many memories and so much love there.” However, Kim’s not following Larsa’s every move. When Khloe mentioned watching Larsa on ‘Real Housewives of Miami’, Kim admitted she’s never seen an episode of Housewives at all.
Kim Kardashian and Larsa Pippen: Looking back at their friendship
Back in the day, Kim and Larsa were everywhere together. Red carpets, parties, family vacations — if one followed their social media, they saw that they were practically glued at the hip. Larsa even showed up on Keeping Up With the Kardashians, and fans loved their dynamic. However, the bump in the road came when, around mid-2020, people noticed that the Kardashian sisters stopped following Larsa on Instagram. Naturally, a move like that set off a storm of rumors. Everyone started speculating. Was there a big blowup? At the time, E! News reported that Kim and Larsa “naturally grew apart,” adding that while the two women were “not as close as they used to be,” both had “no ill feelings at all.” Basically, no one was mad—their lives just moved in different directions.Sure, there were whispers about Larsa being caught in the middle of Kim and Kanye’s private drama, with Larsa herself once saying she “knew too much.” Fans ran wild with theories, but neither Kim nor Larsa ever confirmed a huge fight. After the Instagram unfollowing, both of them kind of let the rumors swirl. Neither one came out swinging. Over time, Kim and Larsa both made it clear: no big feud, just different lives. Kim still says she loves Larsa and her kids, and Larsa’s happy with where things stand. She’s moved on, too, saying she doesn’t feel the need to force anything — they’ve both changed, and that’s okay.
Where do the ex-BFFs stand now?
Certainly, they’re not enemies. But, they’re not best friends either. Just two women who share a lot of history and still have respect for each other, but aren’t as close as they once were. Kim still talks warmly about Larsa, and their kids still cross paths. Larsa’s busy with her own projects in Miami, focusing on her life and the Real Housewives scene. In fact, a report by the above-stated media portal suggested that Larsa recently confirmed that she and Scottie’s daughter Sophia, 17, is still in close contact with the Kim. “I feel like Sophia has a good relationship with Kim,” Larsa shared on ‘The Jason Lee Show’ last year, noting that the teen still “hangs out” with the Kardashians. “They’re loving to her, so I feel like I don’t want to tarnish that. It’s fine.” However, the reality star wasn’t eager to rekindle her own tight bond with Kim, adding, “I’m not the same person I was yesterday, and I feel like I’m good.”
