Prabhas’ sci-fi mythological film Kalki 2898 AD is one of the biggest hits in Indian cinema. Directed by Nag Ashwin, the movie starred Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and Kamal Haasan in significant roles.
It is known to all that Deepika Padukone was shown the door for the sequel, citing unprofessional behaviour. Ever since Deepika was dropped from the franchise, audiences and fans have been wondering who will replace the Bollywood actress. According to the latest rumors on social media, Sai Pallavi is set to play the role of Sumathi/SUM-80 in Kalki 2.
Though there is no confirmation from the makers, the speculations have been going viral. If the rumors turn out to be true, it will be another big leap in Sai Pallavi’s career. The actress is also playing Maa Sita in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, headlined by Ranbir Kapoor.
