YG Entertainment’s Announces Major 2026 Debut Plan, Receives Immediate Backlash

People are uncertain about the roadmap.

YG Entertainment (YGE hereon) has announced its plans for rookie groups in 2026, and netizens are heavily divided over it.

On March 4, KST, the label published a post titled “2026 YG Plan | YG Announcement” on its official blog. In it, executive producer Yang Hyun Suk explained the company’s detailed plan for all its artists’ upcoming activities, including the roadmap for its rookie groups.

The article’s caption announced that YGE would launch a new boy group in the fall of 2026. This information aligns with Yang’s revelation last year, when he claimed that YGE had a group of male trainees slated for a debut soon.

If the launch happens within 2026, it would be YG’s first boy group debut in six years since TREASURE.

Aside from the boy group, YG will also reveal the two remaining members of its new girl group, tentatively named Next Monster.
