Luke Thompson shares his experience while leading ‘Bridgerton season 4 ’
In a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the star opened up about playing the role of Benedict Bridgerton and what all it entailed for him. Following the finale of the 4th season, the actor shared that while the pressure was on him to lead, the filming took place quite easily. “This sounds glib, but the actual doing of the show has been really easy. When you’re so held by a production, and you’re dealing with some of the best people in streaming and in TV, you can afford to just let yourself go to it. I loved leading it,” he shared. He also talked about his experience working on the press tours for the beloved show, citing that it “belongs to the audience,” and that he understands what it all means for the fans at the end of the day.

In the interview, he also mentioned how great it was to work with Florence Hunt, who plays Hyacinth, and Will Tilston, who plays Gregory on the show. He recalled that he had a wonderful time working with them and realized they had grown up. He further shared, “There’s a few scenes actually with Flo this season [where] I was like, ‘Oh, I can really see now what kind of woman Hyacinth is, and how she differs from Daphne, from Francesca, from Eloise. That’s so lovely to see… It could be any of them.”

The show follows him on his quest for the ‘lady in silver.’ While he unknowingly falls in love with Sophie, a lowly maid, things take a turn for the worse. The first 4 episodes of the season teased the forbidden romance, while the last 4 episodes showed how he fought for his love and persevered in the end.
