The sequel to the fantasy comedy hit Maragadha Naanayam, known as Marakatha Mani in Telugu, has officially gone on floors. Titled Maragadha Mani 2, the film was launched with a grand pooja ceremony in Chennai on February 16, 2026, on the occasion of Shivaratri. The first film was well received for its fantasy-comedy theme, and the sequel has created good buzz among audiences.
Several film personalities attended the launch event. Actor Karthi sounded the clapboard, while Arya and director Venkat Prabhu gave the ceremonial first call. The sequel is directed by ARK Saravan, who also directed the first part.
The film features Aadhi, Sathyaraj, Priya Bhavani Shankar, Nikkii Galrani Pinisetty, Munishkanth, Anandaraj, Danie, Arunraja Kamaraj, and Muruganandam in important roles.
It is produced by Sudhan Sundaram, Manish Singhal, Durgaram Choudhary, Dev, and KV Durai under the banners of Passion Studios, Dangal TV, RDC Media, Axess Film Factory, and Good Show. Music is composed by Dhibu Ninan Thomas, and the technical team also includes PV Shankar, NK Rahul, Thirumalai Rajan R, Rajesh Kannan, and PC Stunts. More updates are expected soon.
